A Week of Waiting

Whew I have a lot of catching up to do! Highlights of the last week of school, etc., then on to things that are more fun!

The first really good meal I've made here -- sauteed cubes of beef from The Butcher :D

NEW HAIRCUT!!!

At first I was slightly nervous to go somewhere that isn't BAM Style in Duluth, but the ladies at the haircutting place were super nice, and they got the cut just right :D totally worth 30 euro!!

On Friday Tom and Pat put me, Melissa, Katie K, and Bailey into the van and drove to Claremorris, for the 42nd amateur drama festival opening!!

We went to Supermac's for dinner (Irish fast food is teh best!) and I got garlic pizza bread, then bartered with everyone else for food :D

Before the play there was a great reception, which made us all regret eating beforehand... gorgeous spread!

The play -- called 'Thy Will Be Done', about two estranged brothers and how their lives intersect... Very good play, even though it dragged a little at the end of the first act...

The cool thing about the end of the play is that an adjudicator comes out and tells the audience what she did or didn't like about the play, and gives the actors some tips. She did a good job of pointing things out I missed or couldn't put into words. It was cool!

I saw the sign and couldn't resist snapping a photo -- Uncle Higgins has a gas station in Claremorris, apparently! :D

Some highlights of the week of waiting for Spring Break, and my parents to get here!! More entries on the way, now that they're here :D
